TempCanvas is a personal browser whiteboard for quick diagrams, visual notes, calculations, and explanations. Open the canvas and draw without an account. When you want an audience, Presentation Beta lets others watch your whiteboard live while you keep control of editing.
Use the whiteboard without signing up
There is no login screen, workspace picker, or installation. TempCanvas opens directly to a blank whiteboard and works with a mouse, trackpad, touch screen, or compatible stylus.
Draw, write, and arrange ideas
Use freehand pens, an eraser, text, rectangles, circles, colors, and adjustable line widths. Paste or upload an image, move and resize objects, then use zoom, undo, and redo while you work.
Keep a temporary whiteboard local
Ordinary drawing stays in your browser, with local recovery after a refresh. There is no account or saved cloud document. Export a PNG for a copy you can keep, or explicitly start a live presentation when you want to show your work.
Present a lesson, diagram, or explanation live
Live presentations are available in Beta on TempCanvas. Share an 8-character access code, invitation link, or QR code with up to 100 read-only viewers for a session lasting up to two hours. You draw; your audience watches. This is useful for tutoring, walking through a calculation, or explaining a diagram during a call.
Choose how your audience joins and looks around
Automatic admission is on by default, so anyone with your code or invitation can join. Turn it off to approve viewers manually. Viewers follow your center and zoom by default; you can allow free viewing. Starting a presentation shares the entire canvas, including objects outside your screen, through an encrypted Cloudflare relay. It does not create a saved cloud document.
Is this online whiteboard free?
Yes. TempCanvas is free to use and does not require a paid plan or account.
Can I use the whiteboard without signing up?
Yes. Open the canvas and start drawing. No registration, login, download, or installation is required.
Can I share my whiteboard live without signing up?
Yes. Start a live presentation (Beta) and share the 8-character access code, invitation link, or QR code. No account is needed. Up to 100 viewers can watch for up to two hours while the presenter page stays open.
Is this a collaborative whiteboard?
The presenter alone can draw and edit. Presentation Beta gives your audience a live, read-only view; it does not support simultaneous editing by several people.
Do viewers only receive what is visible on my screen?
No. A presentation sends the entire canvas, including off-screen objects. Following your view or allowing free viewing changes navigation, not which canvas content viewers receive.
Where is my whiteboard saved?
The current canvas is stored locally in your browser for recovery. Ordinary drawing is not sent to the presentation relay. If you start presenting, canvas content is encrypted in your browser and relayed through Cloudflare without persistent canvas storage. Export a PNG when you want a permanent copy.
